He married Elizabeth ? at Yorkshire, England.

Their child was:

John CALVERT was born in 1580 at Great Moorsome, Skelton, Yorkshire, England, the son of William Calvert and Elizabeth ?.

He married Grace ? at Yorkshire, England.

Their children, all baptized at Skelton, Cleve, Yorkshire, England, were:

Thomas CALVERT was born in 1617, possibly at Lygasory, Lurgan, Armagh, Ireland, the son of John Calvert and Grace ?.

He married Jane Glassford at Lurgan on 11 November 1647.

Their children were:

Thomas died in 1685 at New Castle, Maryland.

John CALVERT was born on 6 October 1648 at Stranmillis, Belfast, Ulster, Ireland, the son of Thomas Calvert and Jane Glassford.

He married Judith Stamper on 29 May 1673.

Their children were:

Mary CALVERT was alleged to be the daughter of Charles Calvert, third Lord Baltimore but she was more likely (and assumed herein to be) the daughter of John Calvert, born 1648 near Belfast, and Judith Stamper.

She married John Chinoweth about 1705.

John and Mary probably emigrated from the British Isles about 1715, and settled on Gunpowder River, near Joppa, Baltimore County, Maryland, on an estate belonging to the Calverts which was called "Gunpowder Manor," possibly heired by Mary and her father. John and Mary lived there almost thirty years and raised their family of eight children and, because of their long residence here, the place gradually became known as Chenoweth Manor.

John's will mentions his wife (not by name), so she probably was living at the time of his death in April 1746.

Ruth CALVERT was born about 1734, possibly the daughter of Cecil Calvert and ? [AF].

She married William Chenoweth about 1754 at Hampshire County, West Virginia [IGI].

Ruth died some time between 1760 when their son William was born and 1769 when her widower William married Jane ? [IGI].
